Amazon will be retiring it's web ranking platform Alexa.com
Alexa Internet was started twenty-five years ago. After two decades of helping users find, reach, and convert thier digital audience, they have made the difficult decision to retire Alexa.com on May 1, 2022. They retire all their services like with content research, competition analysis, keyword research, and other services.
Alexa.com is famed for Alexa Rank, a platform that evaluates the world's most popular websites by tracking traffic as online users browse around the internet.
For individuals that seek thorough search engine optimization (SEO) metrics and insights, the site also provides premium memberships.
In a recent announcement Alexa.com states that they will retire Alexa.com on May 1, 2022 and stopped new subscribtions as of December 8, 2021. They also stated that the APIs will be retired on December 15, 2022.
Before the final shutdown you can export the data from the Alexa portal if you are a subscriber. The company didn't give a clear statement about the reason behind this shutdown.
