During Monday's Facebook outage Communications App Telegram won over 70 million new users, its creator, Pavel Durov, predicted Tuesday that people across the world will be left without crucial messaging services for over 6 hours.
Facebook cited its failure to access services such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, which blocked its 3.5 billion users from changing their settings.
Founder Pavel Durov wrote on his Telegram channel. "The daily growth rate of Telegram exceeded the norm by an order of magnitude, and we welcomed over 70 million refugees from other platforms in one day,"
Durov added that certain users in the Americas may have had poor speeds as millions were hurried to register at the same time.
