The popular YouTube Vanced application will no longer be available for Android users. According to The Verge, Vanced's founders have chosen to shut down the app in the next days for "legal issues."
"Vanced has been discontinued. In the coming days, the download links on the website will be taken down. We know this is not something you wanted to hear but it's something we need to do. Thank you all for supporting us over the years." stated a tweet from the Vanced application's Twitter handle.
"Until they become obsolete in 2 years or so," the presently installed versions will operate well.
YouTube Vanced is a modified version of the original programme that lets users remove all YouTube video advertising without having to pay for a premium membership. Vanced also features modifications not available in the original YouTube for Android app, such as a pure black theme.
